Not-for-Profit Tax Return Deadlines
Not-for-profit organizations can pick any month as the fiscal year-end. This means the income tax return deadline can also be any month of the year. The initial due date of a not-for-profit income tax return is the 15th day of the 5th month after year-end. The extended due date is the 15th day of the 6th month after the initial due date. As of 2019, not-for-profit entities received an automatic six-month extension rather than two different extensions. The table below will help you see when your organization's income tax returns are due.
